I finally got around to hanging this cherry door I made six or eight months ago. The original plan was to put it up at the house as a pantry door; this plan was eventually put on hold after if was determined to be "kind of pointless." As luck would have it, though, the door fits the entry to the new shop office just fine.
The door itself is basically an oversize breadboard, although the vertical planks are half-lapped and individually tenoned and glued in to header- and footer-rails. The most exciting part, however (for me, at least) is the hardware: I've always wanted to have a door that trundled along on a barn-door track. (I found this kit at a ranch-supply place south of here. Bonus! It cost literally one-tenth what fancy designer-y barn door hardware costs online.)
