For the typography nerds out there (of which I would proudly call myself, only I don't even think I have the typography chops to call myself a nerd. What does that make me? A typography geek? Anyone?), the letterforms are based on Carol Twombly's "Trajan", developed for Adobe in 1989 (which was based on the inscription seen on Trajan's Column in Rome, whose forms were, of course, carved. Full circle! Yes!) Anyway, the forms have been modified somewhat for efficiency of carving, and to keep the letters themselves "crisp."
