This little box started life years ago as a conversation years ago with a wonderful (and wonderfully patient) client.The design is very much influenced by the work of Japanese boxmaker Suda Kenji, as well that of my teacher at College of the Redwoods, Michael Burns. Altogether there are just under 3,000 individual pieces that went in to making this thing. It was a learning process for sure, but I love doing this sort of work; I very much hope to do more along these lines in the future.
